Hulu announced this week that by the end of August they will stop supporting all DVD and Blu-ray players. Hulu will start to end support for these players this month with Samsung Blu-ray players losing their Hulu app. LG and Sony players will lose support in July and August.

The Netflix app will be available on your player until December 1st, 2019. It will be removed from concerned models after that date. We regret that decision but this is not affecting only Samsung's Blu-ray players. Older devices from all manufacturers will be affected by this decision taken by Netflix. I was pleasantly surprised after hooking up this blu-ray player that it has Netflix, Pandora, You Tube, etc. and plugs in via ethernet cord to a modem. I thought I was simply purchasing a blu-ray/DVD player. I do have a Samsung TV as well and the combination is absolutely perfect. Would F decide to spring for Blu-ray? It was time to find out. We rented each title in both DVD and Blu-ray formats. We watched the DVD versions on our old player, and the Blu-ray versions on a new player from Samsung. Both were connected by the same HDMI cable to the television.
